Description Lists
Note how the title of the list is separated from its decsription.

Rule

  • Items belonging to the same list must have the same indentation on the first line.
  • org-adapt-indentation
  • A list ends before any line less or equally indented
  • A list ends with two blank lines

  1. The attack of the Rohirrim
  2. Eowyn's fight with the witch king
    1. this was already my favorite scene in the book
    2. I really like Miranda Otto.

Main Commands

TAB – fold/unfold
M-RET – Insert new item at current level
M-S-RET – (checkbox)
M-up/down – Move item up/down
M-left/right - decrease/increase indent
M-S-left/right - decrease/increase indent including sub-items
C-c - – Cycle list types
C-c ^ – Sort lists

  • Bake bread
  • Go to the shop
  • Take Aunt Annie out for tea

Conclusion

  • Lists are of two kinds:
    1. Ordered
    2. Unordered
